Smith Financial Consulting was founded in 2011 by Sean Smith and Betsy Sirgo. The goal has always been to provide credit unions and community banks with card resources that are unbiased and focused on their unique goals. A staple of our organization has been to remain independent for our clients, and we will always serve their needs as our first and only priority. In addition to our co-founders, SFC has several industry veterans in the field who assist with identifying future projects and new partnership opportunities.
Sean co-founded Smith Financial Consulting LLC in 2011. Prior to that, he worked in sales and account management for CO-OP Financial Services as vice president of sales for the Western Region at The Members Group (TMG) and Vice President of Sales for the Western Region at Strunk and Associates.
Sean has his B.S. in Behavioral Science and Master's in Business Administration from the University of La Verne.
Along with running the day-to-day at SFC, Sean has been an associate professor of business at MiraCosta College for 15 years and enjoys participating in Scottish Heavy Athletic Highland Game competitions all over the world. He is currently the President of the Scottish American Athletics Association (SAAA), which runs several Scottish Athletics events in Southern California.
Betsy co-founded Smith Financial Consulting in 2011. A lifelong graphic designer and marketing guru, she is the backbone of our operations and has been the driving force for growth.
Betsy has her B.S. in Business from Loyola Marymount University and several certificates in graphic design from MiraCosta College.
An avid animal lover, Betsy lives in San Diego, CA, with her 2 little dogs, where they hike daily and love to explore the outdoors.
